Brand Style Guide

Logos

A Better Chicago’s logo is an important and valued graphic element and must be used consistently and appropriately. Even minor variations can undermine and compromise the brand image.

The wordmark and star are in a fixed position and should never be altered.

Acceptable Variations

There are times when the logo will need to be used in greyscale or reversed against a solid background color. These options are the only acceptable variations, and are provided for download here > [link to logo files].

Logo Clear Space

The minimum required clear space is defined by the measurement ‘X’, with X equal to the height of the uppercase letters. Maintaining this clear space ensures maximum impact and visibility for the logo. The grey area indicates the safe zone; other graphical and visual elements can be safely positioned up to this area, but never within this area.

Never recreate the logo; always use the approved logo files, available for download here > [link to download]
